In Germany, analysing Stygocapitella’s Morphology!

I was awarded a ForBio – Research School in Systematics Travel Grant to come to Osnabrück (Germany) to visit my co-supervisor and take some photographs on Scanning Electron Microscopy and Light Microscopy. We are analysing specimens I was able to collect around the Northern Hemisphere and some specimens my co-supervisor has in his collection. These worms remain identical although being separated by thousands and thousands of kilometers! Next step is to run more in-depth genetic analyses. Some data still needs some statistical machismo but we’re onto something here. In the video Christian processes and photographs a specimen.
