About me

I was born and spent my youth at Guarda, a small town in the mountain range region of continental Portugal. I was somehow of a rebel (my Mom, pers. comm.) and distinctively passionate about nature. Eventually, this passion led me to study Biology at the historical Universidade de Coimbra. On the meantime I did an exchange in Siena (Italy). During my bachelor I contributed in several laboratories and this led me to pursue a Master Degree in Ecology (which led me to Algarrobo, Spain).  With all this packing and unpacking, I got to befriend lots of people.. yet, more importantly, growing up and learning fuelled my resolution – that I would be a scientist and explore the natural world.

That’s as much as I call tell you. I recently began my PhD at the Natural History Museum in Oslo. Norway is a lovely country with lovely people and I love it here.
