I spent my youth at Guarda, a small town in the mountain range region of continental Portugal. I was somehow of a rebel (my Mom, 2016) but I was always very passionate about nature. Eventually, this passion turned into a resolution: that I would study the natural world – that I would become a Biologist; and so, by the time I was eighteen I moved to Coimbra where I joined the historical Universidade de Coimbra. On the meantime I did an exchange in Siena (Italy) and, with time , I got more and more interested in research. This led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Ecology – which led me to Algarrobo (Spain). With all these packing and unpacking, I got to befriend lots of people.. but, more importantly, all this traveling and learning fuelled my resolution – that I would be a scientist and explore the natural world.
That’s as much as I call tell you. I recently began my PhD in the Natural History Museum in Oslo. I have been enjoying Norway a lot and hopefully it is only the beginning of a journey!
